INFO

Rescue MI Nature Now Inc (RMNN) is a non-profit organization in Detroit, MI. They use a variety of methods to enrich their community such as hosting youth summer programs, co-sponsoring a farmers market, partnering with the University of Michigan-Dearborn in implementing Urban Acupuncture, and most recently developing land to create a therapy forest of newly planted native trees.

As part of my Community Design Studio course at the University of Michigan-Flint in the 2023/2024 school year, our student group worked in partnership with RMNN to further enhance and flesh-out their branding, marketing, and graphics. For my role, I developed two new mascots for their brand: 'Mica the Mushroom' and 'Marlo the Monarch' (to go along with their existing mascot 'Beau the Bee'). RMNN will use these illustrated mascots to promote their organization, attract volunteers, and enroll more children in their summer programs. In addition, I designed a logo focusing on Urban Acupuncture that RMNN plans to use for merchandise. All were created in Adobe Illustrator.
